Applicants over 18 years of age:

Fill out this Downloadable Application for the State of Nebraska High School Diploma - MAKE SURE TO USE BLACK INK OR FILL OUT ONLINE.
Applications are available with the General Education instructor.
Notarize application (A notary is available at LPTC, Cherie Heise, & also available at the Winnebago Tribal Court & the Blackhawk Community Center)
You must be able to prove you have been in the State of Nebraska for 30 days prior to testing
You must submit a notarized application to the General Education Instructor in order to start classes.

Applicants under 18 years of age:

Complete & notarize Application for the state of
Nebarska High School Diploma
Submit a hand written letter explaining why you have withdrawn from school and your reasons for taking the General Education exam. This letter can not be typed, nor can it be written by someone else for you.
Complete a Transcript request form.
Submit all materials to General Education Instructor.

Important Information to Applicants under 18 years of age:

You must be at least 16 years of age to test.
If you live on the Winnebago Reservation, you can still be charged with truency regardless if you are attending General Education classes
You must be withdrawn from school for at least 60 days (2 months) before you are eligible to test. It is very important that you officially withdraw from school as they will post that date on your transcripts.
You must get authorization from the State of Nebarska before you can perform a General Education test. You will receive a letter in the mail directly from the Lincoln, NE office notifying you if you have met the qualifications and if you have been given authorization.
You will not receive an official diploma until you either reach the age 18 or until the class you were enrolled with at the time of withdrawal graduates. This does not affect your ability to prove you have passed your exam as transcripts are always available from my office.

Approval for Testing

In order to take the official General Education test, students must attend classes and pass official General Education pre-tests. The General Education consists of five tests. Students can test in the subject area as soon as they are approved by the General Education instructor. Pre-test scores are valid for 1 year.

Testing

Testing is BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Testing is held in CLC Lab at the Little Priest Tribal College.

Fees

General Education classes are free of charge and as of September 2007, we have been providing testing at our facility free of charge.
