On the main level of the library there are 8 computers for the public to use, 2 of which are for younger children with games and no internet, and there are eleven computers in the lab on the lower level of the library, for patrons 18 and over. 

• Students are given priority in the uses of computers for their school  work or research.
• Users must sign a document that states they agree to abide by the library's Internet and Acceptable Use Policy.
• Users must sign in at the start of their library computer session, and sign out when finished.
• Users must be at least 8 years of age.
• If younger then 8 years old they need to have a parent with them, or use a computer that does not have Internet access.
• Anyone under the age of 16 must have a parent's signature on file with the library before using the Internet

If all available computers are in use, users are requested to sign a waiting list and inform a staff member that they need a computer.   The waiting list is first-come-first-served, in terms of people, as well as computers. 

When there is heavy demand, users are requested to limit their computer time to one half hour (1/2 hour).  If there is a waiting list, then the non-student users will usually be given 5-15 minutes to finish what they are doing.  This does not apply to students.

The primary purpose for the library computers is for research. The use of computers for games, e-mail, and other non-research uses is on an as-available basis.
